Greetings to Greeble Otaku everywhere!!
With the passing of I-Con, and being able to satisfy a few other aspects of my interests, I wanted to take the Greeble Journal in a slightly different direction. As you know, I’m also a huge Star Wars fan, and with the explosion of Lego licensed products over the last decade, it’s become much easier to incorporate my love of Star Wars and Lego together. One of the things that I really like about Star Wars, are the droids. Maybe you wouldn’t expect that from me, but it’s true. Lately, there have been a few Lego droids released which I just had to have. Now, Lego minifigs aside, there was a new release of R5-D4 which managed to elude me for many, many weeks. I didn’t find him at I-Con, but luckily I found him the day after. In my quest for this droid, I managed to find some other really neat ones.
What I’ve decided to do, is something of a photo expose’ to showcase my growing collection of Astromech Droids. Since I have R2-D2 and C-3PO in both action and minifigure forms I’ll start with them, and follow up with a different droid in a new post. Also, I’ll try to add some interesting facts about the droid, as well as their names and where they came from.
I don’t have any pictures yet, but the more I think about this little side project, the more fun it seems. The first few posts will be greeble related, but will gravitate away from that.
